Collection: The Haystacks
The Haystacks – Phillips Island
Some places leave a mark long after the tide rolls out. The Haystacks – Phillips Island Edition is inspired by one of Carteret County’s hidden coastal landmarks—a place where North Carolina’s working waterfront, maritime heritage, and natural beauty meet.
Nestled along the Newport River between Morehead City and Beaufort, Phillips Island once played an important role in the region’s historic menhaden fishing industry. In the early 1900s, the island was home to a fish processing plant that supported generations of hardworking watermen. After the plant was destroyed by fire in 1953, the island slowly returned to nature. Today, it serves as a living classroom for coastal research and conservation, preserving both its rich history and the ecosystems that make the Crystal Coast unique.
This shirt honors that legacy.
Crafted from a premium-soft cotton blend, the Wade Shore Tee delivers all-day comfort whether you’re cruising the Intracoastal Waterway, fishing before sunrise, exploring Beaufort, or watching the sun disappear beyond the marsh. The timeless design reflects the enduring spirit of North Carolina’s coast—where tradition, craftsmanship, and adventure never go out of style.
